To our Valued Clients, Partners, and the Brantford Community,

It is with a profound sense of gratitude and reflection that we formally announce the retirement of Lyan Photography. After more than a decade of dedicated service to the Brantford and Greater Southern Ontario regions, we have made the decision to close our studio doors to focus on our personal interest and well-being.

Since our establishment in 2012, Lyan Photography has been defined by the partnership of Lisa and Ryan—a collaboration that allowed us to blend two unique artistic perspectives into a singular vision. Our mission was always to provide more than just a service; we aimed to preserve the legacy of the families we served.

A Legacy of Excellence and Community

Over the years, we have had the distinct privilege of documenting hundreds of weddings, ranging from intimate ceremonies to grand celebrations. We are incredibly proud of the milestones we achieved during this tenure:

  • Industry Recognition: Being consistently named as Brantford’s Three Best Rated Wedding Photographers and receiving multiple Readers’ Choice accolades.
  • Civic Engagement: Contributing to the fabric of our city through the sponsorship of Hockey Night in Brantford , NHL Alumni games, The Brantford Blast and our involvement with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) (pre covid), and the Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre, just to name a few.
  • National Reach: Having our imagery featured in national publications and newspapers, representing the high standard of Brantford’s creative community.
  • Distinguished Endorsements: The enduring honor of having our work recognized by local dignitaries and community icons.

 

Prioritizing the Future

For years, our weekends and milestones have been dedicated to celebrating yours. While it has been an honor to be a part of so many “Best Days,” the time has come for us to prioritize our own health and personal lives. This decision comes from a desire to step back from the demands of a high-volume wedding schedule and embrace a more balanced pace of life.

Final Gratitude

To our past clients: thank you for your trust. It has been a superlative honor to be the stewards of your most precious memories. Though we are moving on to new endeavors, the connections we made and the stories we told through our lenses remain our proudest achievement.
